When we opened the Midrasha in 2001, many people told us we wouldn’t find even the first applicant. Unimpressed, we went ahead. Today, nearly twenty young women are studying with us and dozens of our graduates live throughout the world: in Germany, the rest of Europe, North America and Israel.
Some Midrasha students are wholly devoted to Jewish studies; others are with us part time while studying for business or fine arts degrees at nearby universities. And an elite few are working as educators in Jewish communities in Germany and beyond.
Whether our young women will be employed as teachers, take on traditional family roles, become career women, or perhaps combine all three, by the time they leave the Midrasha they will have become outstanding role models, worthy of emulation in Germany and beyond.
