Rabbi Josh Spinner, Founding Director
Rabbi Josh Spinner was born in the United States and raised in Canada. He studied at Yeshivot in Toronto and Jerusalem, as well as attending Columbia University in New York City. After spending two years in Minsk, Belarus, working in outreach, Rabbi Spinner returned to New York to learn at Mesivta Tifereth Jerusalem, where he received Semicha (Rabbinic ordination) in 2000. Shortly afterwards Rabbi Spinner moved to Berlin and established Programs which grew into Lauder Yeshurun, the premier Jewish Education and Outreach organisation in Germany today. He lives in Berlin with his wife, Joelle, and three children and serves as the Vice President of the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation.
Rabbi Meir Roberg, Senior Advisor
Rabbi Meir Roberg was born in Würzburg. As a refugee he came to England before the outbreak of World War II and learned at the famous Yeshivot in Gateshead (England) and Slabodka (Israel), where he received Rabbinic Ordination. Rabbi Roberg also studied ancient languages and received degrees in Education and Philosophy. An internationally renowned educator, he headed the Hasmonean High School in London for over twenty years. Today Rabbi and Rebbetzin Roberg split their time between Jerusalem and Berlin where Rabbi Roberg serves as the Menahel Ruchani (Senior Advisor) of all Lauder Yeshurun Projects.
Tamar Warburg, North American Representative
Tamar Warburg, a graduate of Yeshiva University's Stern College for Women and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, is an associate at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, where she focuses on estate planning. During her third year of law school, Tamar spent a semester studying in Hamburg, where she became active in Lauder Nordhaus, Lauder Yeshurun's regional outreach center for northern Germany. Tamar currently resides in New York City and leads efforts to educate the North American Jewish Community about Lauder Yeshurun.
