Rabbi Dani Fabian, Director

Rabbi Fabian was born in Ramat Gan, Israel. He grew up near Düsseldorf and holds a degree as a Biologist. He is a cantor, has been a Madrich at camps run by Am Echad, ZWST and BJSD. He learned at a Yeshiva in Israel and continued his studies at Yeshivas Beis Zion in Berlin and the Rabbinerseminar, where he also received his Rabbinical Ordination. He lives with his wife Daniela and their three children in Berlin.

Rabbi Meir Roberg was born in Würzburg. As a refugee he came to England before the outbreak of World War II and learned at the famous Yeshivot in Gateshead (England) and Slabodka (Israel), where he also received Rabbinic Ordination. He additionally studied ancient languages and received degrees in Education and Philosophy. An internationally renowned educator, Rabbi Roberg headed the Hasmonean High School in London for over twenty years. Today Rabbi and Rebbetzin Roberg  split their time between Jerusalem and Berlin where Rabbi Roberg serves as the Menahel Ruchani (Senior Advisor) of all Lauder Yeshurun Projects.

Mrs Olga Afanasev, Director- Full-time Program / Recruiting

A graduate of the Midrasha, Olga was raised in Kiev in the Ukraine before moving to Osnabrück at the age of 15. While at the Midrasha, she graduated in law at the Johann-Wolfgang-von-Goethe University in Frankfurt-on-the-Main. Olga is responsible for the running of the Midrasha and also teaches there regularly. She is known for her drive and enthusiasm and is always seeking new opportunities to develop more learning opportunities for herself and her students. In the summer of 2005, she married Shlomo, then a student at Yeshivas Beis Zion. The Afanasevs live close to the yeshiva with their three children.

Rabbi Dovid Rose was born in London, England. After studying Management at University, he spent several years learning in a Yeshiva in Jerusalem, including three years at The Jerusalem Kollel under the tutelage of Rabbi Yitzchak Berkowits, from whom he received Semicha in 2004. He moved to Berlin with his wife Talya in 2005 and they have four children.

Rabbi Reuven Konnik, Lecturer

Rabbi Konnik was born in Kiev, Ukraine, and grew up in Riga, Latvia. He studied Law at the University of Heidelberg.  He is the Cantor of the Jewish Community in Magdeburg and is a regular teacher on Am Echad seminars. He lives in Berlin with his wife and their four children. Rabbi Konnik received his Rabbinical Ordination from the Rabbinerseminar zu Berlin. He lives with his wife and four children in Berlin.
